Pr. Hanene BenAbdallah
Biography
Pr. Hanêne Ben-Abdallah received a BS in Computer Science and BS in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN-USA, an MSE and PhD in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA-USA. She worked as Professor of Computer Science at the University of Sfax-Tunisia (1997-2013) and at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah-KSA (2013-2018). Since 2018, she joined the Higher Colleges of Technology, Dubai-UAE where she served as Dean of Faculty Affairs & Scholarly Activities (2018-2020) then Executive Dean of the Faculty of Computer Information Science & Applied Media (2020-present).
Since 1997, Professor Hanene has been conducting research in software design quality, reuse techniques in software and business process modelling, with application to the development of information and decision support systems, and web/cloud-based applications. Within these research topics, she has advised more than 30 MS students and 20 PhD students, and mentored several junior faculty members in their promotion process. She has published more than 50 journal papers and 100 conference papers. She also has served as an editorial board member of and reviewer for several international journals, and she has taken part of the program and organization committees of several international conferences.
