Dr. Faker Zouaoui  is the Chief AI Officer at Asurion, the world’s largest provider of technology protection services, serving over 300 million consumers. In this role, he spearheads the enterprise AI strategy, oversees the development and implementation of AI solutions, and ensures the ethical and effective use of AI to drive business value and achieve organizational goals. Before joining Asurion, Dr. Zouaoui held several leadership positions at Sabre, a global leader in travel technology. There, he led the design and delivery of innovative travel solutions in airline shopping, travel distribution, and revenue management. Notably, he was granted a patent in 2007 for developing a new airline shopping system that serves as the core engine behind most online travel platforms today. Dr. Zouaoui earned his Ph.D. in Operations Research from North Carolina State University. He also holds a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University in Turkiye. His research has been published in the fields of simulation, pricing, revenue management, and travel retailing. Additionally, he has served on advisory boards for various companies and academic institutions. Dr. Zouaoui has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the CIO 100 Award and Data Scientist of the Year Award. He is a sought-after speaker, having presented at numerous industry conferences and academic forums, such as the Amazon AWS Summit and Gartner Executive Leadership Forum. Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Zouaoui is passionate about mentoring the next generation of AI professionals and enjoys exploring the latest advancements in technology.
